Drenched in toe-tapping feel-good oldies hits, colorful ’60s costumes, and hilarious moments, Suds is a bubbly, campy musical comedy about three teenage girls trying to find romance through song and dance. The story, played out in a vintage Wash-O-Rama, features Top 40 hits from the ’60s such as “Johnny Angel,” “Don’t Make Me Over,” and “Chapel of Love,” as well as more than 50 other ditties performed by a live band. Conceived by the award-winning team of Melinda Gilb, Steve Gunderson, and Bryan Scott, Suds is an entertaining romp that has garnered rave reviews from California to New York since its debut in 2008. There’s nothing like finding love while doing a load of laundry. Especially when it’s set to snazzy dance moves and oldies tunes. Suds is American Bandstand meets Hairspray in a laundromat.
