$30,000

Good news from The News Lounge! Getting happy just got easier and cheaper with the advent of what has to be one of the more generous happy hours in town.

Every day, from 5 to 9 p.m., the funky-arty Midtown bar-cum-restaurant-cum-lounge-cum hipster hangout is spilling out $3 beers, $4 wines and house spirits and $6 mojitos, caipirinhas and martinis. Fill up on cheap eats too, like $3 bruschetta, $3 ceviche and $6 beef, tuna, salmon or veggie sliders.

And while you’re at it, rack up a few games on one of two outdoor pool tables, chill as DJ Manuvers spins the tunes or feed your ears to music in the flesh, like singer-songwriter-guitarist-percussionist Nil Lara, scheduled to perform Tuesday, Sept. 21. Now, that’s some news you can use.
