Oh, and obviously “festival organizers expect 2014 to be the fastest sell out in the event’s history.”

Ultra Music Festival Announces 2014 Dates, Only One Three-Day Weekend

Mere moments after the end of this year’s two-weekend Ultra, the 2014 dates were announced. And the shocker: Only one three-day weekend.

Of course, it’s highly likely that UMF will eventually expand next year’s party plan to a full six days. But before making any epic extra-day moves, the fest certainly wants to rid itself of all passes for March 28, 29, and 30. So Ultra 2014’s initial “Early Bird tickets” will go on sale in just five days and a few hours at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21.

“Priced at $149.95 (undoubtedly among the least expensive weekend tickets for any major festival in the world),” UMF reps ecstatically exclaim, “will be available for purchase by the general public … exclusively at ultramusicfestival.com for what is expected to be a very limited time only (Early Bird tickets for last year’s event sold out in less than 5 minutes).”

In other words, it’s extremely improbably that you’ll manage to snag those “Early Birds.” But Ultra’s offering a little consolation: “General Admission and VIP tickets will also be available from 1pm ET.”

Yes, you’ll pay a few extra beat-freaking bucks. But at least you won’t miss the party.

Ultra Music Festival 2014. Friday to Sunday, March 28 to 30, 2014. Tickets go on sale for $149.95 and up at 1 p.m. on May 21. Visit ultramusicfestival.com.
